Life
Cycle Survivability Applications
L-3's
Advanced Technologies Division (formerly Jaycor) personnel
pioneered the development of many of the techniques now being
used to maintain the nuclear survivability of critical U.S.
military systems and facilities. Life-cycle survivability
capabilities include creating survivable designs for hardened
systems, repairing/restoring damaged hardness critical items,
and developing the logistics support tools required by site/equipment
personnel to maintain the hardness of their particular systems.
These tools include hardness maintenance technical manuals,
work cards, and illustrated parts breakdown manuals. The tools
provide operators and configuration managers the infomation
they need to successfully maintain the hardness of their site
or system throughtout its operational life. Titan engineers
also translate nuclear specifications into construction specifications,
engineering design, and engineering drawings to use in upgrading
or restoring the nuclear hardness of facilities and field
systems around the world.
