A
compact RF detection/alert sensor, dubbed the Witness Chip,
has been designed and fielded for non-perturbing measurements
of RF shielding effectiveness as well as an indicator of HPM
attack. A separate effort, funded by DARPA, is underway to
develop ruggedized units for smart battle field deployment
to enable RF-signature recognition.
