Less-Than-Lethal
Technologies

Titan continues to expand its business base by developing nonlethal technologies that will allow law officers and military personnel in missions of "operations other than war" to meet their objectives by subduing individuals, controlling crowds, and apprehending suspects with minimal risk to suspects and bystanders.

For the growing problem of high-speed vehicle pursuit, Titan is refining and miniaturizing the Auto-Arrestor system, which uses electromagnetic pulses to disrupt a fleeing automobile's sensitive electronics and safely stop it. The system can be deployed as a permanent or temporary barrier across a road. The electrical energy injected onto the vehicle's frame couples to the ignition system and disables the engine, bringing it to a safe, controlled stop.

In the area of weapons detection, we have developed and demonstrated an Ultrasound Imaging Sensor for detecting and imaging weapons concealed under a person's clothing. The ultrasonic radar uses short acoustic wavelengths to achieve resolutions on the order of one centimeter or less. Jaycor, now Titan, developed and demonstrated a nonlethal method to extend the range for effectively stunning a person.

The Sticky Shocker® concept involves a blunt projectile that sticks to the clothing with glue and imparts a short burst of high voltage pulses. The Sticky Shocker® characteristics are similar to well-established safe electrical shock devices.
