Nuclear Radiation SurvivabilityTitan's Advanced Technologies Group (ATG formerly Jaycor), is a leader in radiation survivability, including the development of low-cost technologies to allow systems to operate in nuclear environments from both hostile nuclear detonations and natural space radiation. Titan has the capability to assess the survivability of systems through a variety of analysis and testing techniques and provide design guidance to system design and management personnel. The Operate Through semiconductor device (pictured at right) is an essential element for radiation hardening on missile and satellite systems. Electromagnetic Pules (EMP) Survivability ATS personnel specialize in the development, design, fielding and testing of EMP protection features for a wide range of military systems. Our EMP expertise includes source region (SREMP), internal and system-generated (IEMP/SGEMP), and high altitude (HEMP). For HEMP, we developed and fielded our own continuous wave illumination system and a suite of high energy pulsers to conduct pulsed current injection (PCI) tests on HEMP-hardened systems, making us the only company in the world capable of conducting acceptance and verification tests described by MIL-STD-188-125. Balanced EM Survivability Recognizing the interrelationship of many hostile nuclear and man-made EM threats, we have developed a full capability to provide a balanced EM survivability approach for a wide range of EM environments. Our capabilities cover the range from dc to millimeter frequencies, from CW to pulsed threats, and both narrow-band and ultra-wideband signals with fast rise times. Life Cycle Survivability We are an industry leader in the techniques now used to maintain the survivability of critical military systems and facilities. Our capabilities include hardness design, testing, construction, and the creation of logistics support tools for life-cycle hardness maintenance.
